Vice President of Commercial (JTH)

Position Overview:

The Vice President of Commercial is responsible for optimizing the company’s commercial activities, including sales, customer relationships, and business development. This role plays a critical part in implementing commercial strategy and supporting revenue and market growth, working closely with cross-functional teams and reporting to senior leadership. The Vice President of Commercial will also be responsible for helping to maintain the ONETEAM culture by fostering a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, and communication with all Jaguar Team Members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of commercial strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Strengthen relationships, grow organic revenue and profitability, and expand Jaguar’s position in the Customers supply chain by cross marketing all lines of business.
  • Monitor performance metrics and provide regular reports on revenue targets.
  • Focus on 4–6 assigned customer industries, developing deep expertise to combine transportation knowledge with industry-specific insights and deliver long-term value and tailored solutions for customers and the organization.
  • Contribute to pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and customer proposals.
  • Identify new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with key customers and partners.
  • Coordinate with finance and operations to support commercial growth and service delivery.
  • Ensure commercial activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and contractual obligations.
  • Drive customer satisfaction and retention through effective commercial planning and service delivery.
  • Mentor and assist operations team members to build a high-performing, customer-focused culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • 6–10 years of experience in commercial, sales, or business development roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong understanding of commercial principles, market dynamics, and customer relationship management.
  • Proven ability to deliver revenue targets and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional environments and managing multiple priorities.
