Senior Accountant (JTH)

Position Summary

Jaguar Transport Holdings, LLC is looking for a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions. Primary responsibilities include helping with the preparation of financial reports to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.  The Senior Accountant will be a key member of the Jaguar Transport Holdings team and help facilitate the company’s ONETEAM culture by promoting collaboration and communication between the support team and our field operations team daily.

Schedule: In Office, Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enter vendor invoices, set up new accounts, and reconciles vendor statements.
  • Reconciles bank accounts monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
  • Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections.
  • Process ACH, Wire and Check payment of invoices associated with accounts payable.
  • Reconcile Construction in Process accounts, create Fixed Assets, record depreciation.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts.
  • Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
  • Files required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
  • As appropriate, coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software system; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements and Experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting.
  • Experience operating in a multi-entity, high growth organization.
  • Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Highly proficient with accounting software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline required.
  • Three to five years of accounting experience required.
