Revenue Accounting Specialist (JTH)

Position Summary:

The Revenue Account Specialist plays a vital role on the Jaguar Transport Holdings Revenue Accounting team. This position involves reviewing and interpreting tariffs and contract pricing, determining appropriate revenue charges, and ensuring timely, accurate invoicing and financial data integrity. This position contributes to technological advancement, process streamlining, and scalable operations, supporting long-term growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret contracts and tariffs to ensure proper rate application.
  • Prepare, validate, and generate invoices across various services (freight, storage, demurrage, transload, etc.) for multiple billing cycles.
  • Maintain and update billing systems with current charge codes and rules.
  • Detect, resolve, and prevent errors using root cause analysis and resolution strategies.
  • Generate and send manual invoices
  • Monitor customer accounts and track outstanding receivables
  • Credit Memo processing
  • Timely collections of outstanding payments and follow up with customers regarding past due accounts
  • Process weekly Accounts Receivable reports
  • Assist with Audit Preparation related to Accounts Receivables
  • Maintain and review sales contracts periodically to ensure correct invoicing
  • Continuously improve processes and participate in automation initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments to ensure accurate data and high service standards.
  • Document workflows and maintain detailed job process guides.
  • Train new hires and provide coverage as needed across shifts and departments.
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and mathematical abilities (including percentages, ratios, pivot tables, graphs).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to learn and utilize systems such as Dynamics, 3PL, RMI, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of drafting reports, manuals, and professional correspondence.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong initiative and independent decision-making skills.
  • Ability to create and deliver training materials and lead training sessions.
  • Dedication to data integrity, customer-first mindset, and continuous improvement.

Education & Experience:

Required:

  • 3–6 years of relevant experience (revenue accounting, invoicing, contract analysis, etc.)
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Communications, or related field

Work Environment:

  • Office-based environment with moderate noise level
