Location: This position can office out of Joplin, MO or in the Kansas City area
Job Description:
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for a variety of activities within our Acquisitions and Financial Analysis Department. A successful candidate will be able to analyze past financial performance to communicate key results and trends to senior leadership and also develop ideas to enhance future profitability. This position will work closely with commercial, operations and our accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting. The Financial Analyst will also be responsible for helping to maintain the ONETEAM culture by fostering a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, and communication.
Summary of essential job functions:
- Analyzes business and financial data.
- Prepares materials for Monthly Financial Reviews
- Prepares material for Quarterly Board of Directors Meetings
- Performs due diligence on Organic/M&A investment opportunities.
- Creates financial models to support organizational decision making.
- Develops financial plans and reports for organizational leaders.
- Analyzes industry trends and makes recommendations based on those trends.
- Evaluates capital expenditures.
- Insurance/Risk Management Responsibilities
- Develops automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or related field required
- One to five years professional experience as an analyst, accountant, auditor, or other related field
- Knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial principles
- Team Focused Attitude
- Strong work ethic and self-starter who can quickly identify, analyze, and solve problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact positively across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Thorough understanding of project management
